homemade "hamburger" helper...

tash's picture

just thought I would share, plus this topic needs something.....

the other day my husband made taco filling with veggie crumbles (vegitarian hamburger) and taco seasoning. I had already eaten so there were lots of leftovers. a few days later I put a can of plain tomato soup, heated it, added some rotini and cooked the rotini in the soup for about 7 min I think, then I added the leftover taco filling and a little salsa. it only took another min for the sauce to thicken and the "meat" to be heated. it was really quite good. like hamburger helper, but better my husband said.
