London today
Submitted by Honey on Thu, 07/07/2005 - 4:19am
This morning during rush hour there were several explosions on the London tube (subway) and at least one on a bus. It's unclear at the moment exactly how many explosions there were or how many people are hurt.
My father works in London and thankfully I managed to reach him on his cellphone before the companies suspended the network, and he is fine.
Please spare a thought for the people involved and their families today.

Prayers your way
I brought my coffee to the 'puter to get started on some homework and saw the headline on my hompage...my first thought was for you, Honey, and your Ds, and your family.
Glad to know that your father is safe. I'll say prayers for you all...and for all of London/Great Britain as you deal with this...
Love to you and your DS.
Blessings,
Lenora

UK Check-in
UK TNHers, please check in and let us know you and yours are all right.

Glad you're ok, Honey
I was thinking of you as I was listening to the news on my way to my parents' house this morning. There are no words ...

So glad to hear you and yours
So glad to hear you and yours are okay, Honey. I hope the other UK TNHers will check in here soon too. Our thoughts are with you all.
Hello
We're fine, and I think all of our families are OK too. As for friends, I just can't be sure. I was born and brought up in London, and worked there for a year, commuting on public transport amongst those rush hour crowds. The thought of it is just so frightening. Glad you're OK Honey, I was thinking of you as I ran through my 'London people' in my head earlier.

Lots of Love
I'm new to TNH and I don't know you all but my heart goes out to all of those involved. I said a prayer this morning when I heard and have thought about those ppl all day. I know no one in London but I want to send my love to everyone touched by this tradgedy and wish you all great strength to deal with any loss
Thanks for checking in
and letting us know you're OK. I heard about this on the radio and went to CNN.com to find out what I could. It sounds like Madrid all over again.
This is so tragic and horrifying, there just aren't words.

Prayers for London
I'm so glad to hear that you and your ds are ok Honey, and that Zillia and her family are fine.
My heart breaks for those that lost family and for those that just don't know yet.
Thoughts and prayers on this sad day.
Too close for comfort
Please send some of those prayers and good thoughts in the direction of my brother. I thought he was safely in Edinbugh (where he lives) but it turns out that he is working in London this week and was on his way to work on a train 2 trains behind one of the ones that was bombed. He's OK, but pretty shaken up. He was a little late yesterday and could very easily have been on that train. I can't even bear to think about it.

Still praying
Oh, Zillah...how frightening! I am glad, though, that it seems TNH friends, loved ones, and acquaintances are safe. I pray for all who cannot say the same.
Has anybody heard from CariAnne????????
I hope she thinks to check in with us, too.......
Blessings,
Lenora

Sorry Lenora ~
Just thought to check in here.
I was to arrive in London the day of the first (and then second) explosions. I am still State-side and will remain that way.
The London situation broke my heart and I was heartsick for everyone involved. I am glad that everyone is okay from TNH.
*hugs*
