Adoption Update--maybe, yes?

Well, it's been awhile since I've posted (I've mostly been lurking). I've been busy with homeschooling DD (second grade) and keeping up with the garden, with the house, and so on.

But I havfta share--we've been working with DHS on adopting from foster care and it looks like our adoption worker has found the sibling pair we've been hoping and praying for.

A girl, age 7 (one yr younger than DD) and a boy, age 5. I've talked to their caseworker and their great-aunt, who is providing the relative foster care at this time, and it looks good, people.

We are meeting the family on Thursday on their farm, and if it still feels as right as it does right now, they will come visit us at our home this Saturday and transition within the week.

Oh. My. Goodness.

I don't know what to do with myself today. I've been cleaning. Alot.

DD is very excited about having another girl close to her in age and a younger brother. And the children are excited about the possibility of a forever family with an older girl, cats, dogs, gardens, and they'll still get to see their older sisters and aunt and uncle and their younger brother often.

It's a little complicated, but their younger brother is being adopted by another couple who are keeping close contact with the older brothers and sisters and their aunt, who totally rocks, in my estimation.

Think good thoughts for us! I'm still focusing on discerning whether these are the children we are meant to have while at the same time, trying to get the house ready for two new kids. (spaz)
